Domaine des Baluettes

MUSCADET SÈVRE ET MAINE SUR LIE

Wine made from organically grown grapes

Certified by ECOCERT – FR -BIO – 01

Grape variety: Melon de Bourgogne

Terroir: South facing Orthogneiss. The vineyard of the domain grows surrounded by nature and birds singing, it gets its freshness from its proximity to the river. It’s a magical place away from urbanism.

Production method: Our vine must fully and truly express the terroir. That’s why we wisely try to be a part of the process in a way that is respectful. On the domain, we use organic agriculture that consists of tillage and application of manure. Chemical products and fertilizers are forbidden.

Winemaking: The grapes are hand-harvested and softly crushed to obtain a fruity and tasteful juice. The spontaneous fermentation is followed by the aging for 6 to 8 months on lees. We bottle in April.

Tasting: This Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur lie reflects the authenticity and fruit of its terroir. On its first year of production, this wine was selected by the guide “un vin Presque parfait 2012”, here are the tasting comments: “a wine with a light yellow robe, with shades of grey, you can find a hint of citrus and iodine. Freshness and minerality in the mouth.”

Advice: To be served at 10°C. Ideal with seafood and fish. To share with friends, surely brings happiness to your meals.
