Grand Mortier Gobin

MUSCADET SÈVRE ET MAINE SUR LIE

Grape variety : Melon de Bourgogne

Terroir: Orthogneiss : metamorphic rock from the crystalline basement. The Orthogneiss of our area comes from granites. It was amongst other used for the building of imprinted steleaes during Neolithic times.

Production method: with Terra Vitis I get involved in an alternative course of action, that respect my vine, my soil and the ecosystem to be able to leave a insignificant imprint on the environment. This process guarantees a traceability controlled by an independent certifying agency. This is the most efficient way to produce a wine of great quality.

Winemaking: We crush softly the round grapes in order to extract all the matter. The wine spontaneously ferments thanks to its grapes full of yeast skin. This slow fermentation lasts 4 to 6 weeks and gives its great quality to the wine.

Tasting: The elegant and beading effect of this authentic wine pleases the fine connoisseurs. Its intense and complex aromas, its fat generous palate extend the tasting pleasure. This vintage Muscadet Sèvre et Maine offers all its best when it’s 3-5 years old.

Advice: It’s better served at 11°C with a sea bass in a salt crust. It tastes wonderful with caviar, prawns and grilled lobster.
